I'm writing this post in secret 'cos I'm SUPPOSED to be doing my Malay project right now. However, it has dawned upon me that it's absolutely impossible for me to do it as I do not understand a single thing about the difference between "Sekali, sekali-sekali dan sekali-kali". So, I decided to post an illegal entry tonight without my mom knowing it. Woooo, I feel SO mission impossible-ish. Always looking over my shoulder every five seconds! Hahaha!

I just saw myself on TV. It was a really weird experience. I was interviewed for the show Real! Talk with the host Diana Ser and three other representatives from other schools. They were talking about the issues that are in Singapore since National Day is coming soon. the thingy was quite some time ago and I sort of forgot about it. Until tonight when I finally saw myself on TV. It's kindda enbarassing, lah!! Diana Ser asked the first question and there was a small silence. Then, BAM!! She calls my name and I was like, "Oh, what is it that's Uniquely Singapore?? Oh... Hmm..." I just spoke some stuff from the top of my head. Actually, Jaswin and Subeer talked too from the floor but they cut certain parts short. But my parts were all in, I think. I was SO drama, lah!! But the thing was... I was only being myself. I didn't know that I was THAT drama! I'm not exactly sure if that's a good thing. I remembered the last part when DIana Ser asked about the steps the government should take for the youths. And I started talking about how they should encourage not just academics stuff but also aesthetics things. Then, I said something like, "I'd go looking for Singaporean authors at a bookstore. One shelf. That's it! And I'm like Hmmm..." I was laughing at myself when I saw that.

Seriously, I think I talked a tad bit too much. But the others talked really well. And they talked a whole lot more. But I guess it exceeded the time limit. I hoped I looked okay. Darn, my reflective specs!! I looked like cyclops!! Hahaha! Ah, well! I have to go off now. I'll blog more about things next time. Looks like it's my first step to stardom! =X Hahaha!

I am so sick of being sick that it seriously sickens me!! Seriously!! Okay, I don't want to start this entry ona bad note. I'm just a tad bit pissed at the pills and syrups I have to take. Right, okay, evaluation of the week is coming up...

Monday was mondo tiring!! We had our NAPFA five items that day. The five items being
1) Standing Broad Jump
2) Sit and reach
3) Inclined Pull-ups
4) Shuttle Run
5) Sit-ups

So, basically there're only five stations and you would think that it won't be as bad as the 2.4km run, right?! Yeah, that's what I thought! But I was dead wrong. It was WAY worse than I expected it to be. I was extremely determined to get a gold this year. And not just a barely gold. I wanted to get myself at least 28 points. Okay, I admit, abit ambitious. Especially since I am doing the required As for a 16-year-old. STILL I wanted it REALLY badly. I have no idea why. I just do. I think I sort of made a wrong move by not eating lunch 'cos I was broke but what else could I have done?? I was completely broke!! So, the thingy was after school and everyone was all hyped about it. Including me. I couldn't wait to just get this thing over and done with. My first station was standing broad jump.

I have never really been very good at jumping. What with my short legs and all. Plus, I have to jump an impossible length of 186cm to clinch myself an A. Everyone was all busy practising their standing broad jump and I just stood there. I figured that if I practise too much, I'd lose my strength for the real thing, y'know. It felt like AGES before it was my turn to jump. And I did my best (even to the extend of falling at one jump) but naturally, I didn't get the 'A' I was so desiring. The worst part was that I missed it barely! I managed to jump 183cm. Grrr... Makes me mad just thinking about it!

After that, my spirits sort of waned abit. Sit and reach had been a problem for me before. But this year I got pretty flexible. You see, I've trying to achieve a side-split since term one. I haven't achieved it yet but I've certainly gotten much more flexible. I got my 'A' for that one. Managed to sit and reach for 49cm. =)

Next came inclined pull-ups. Okay, this station never proved to be a problem to me since forever. But it seems like I've been complacent. I haven't really visited the gym since the Adelaide trip and I guess it had it's consequences. I was aiming for 30 pull-ups. And I only managed 24. Which is an 'A', true... But I was quite disappointed with myself.

The worst had to be the shuttle run. I was really nervous about this station 'cos my thighs hurt like hell after standing broad jump and everything. I was worried that I couldn't perform well. Plus, this has always been my strongest station. Every year I would get 10 secs. But I began to doubt that I could achieve that time this year 'cos my thighs felt like someone was stabbing it ten times over. Also, the terrain turned out to be very slippery so, even the real fast runers couldn't clinch their usual time. I clocked the most pathetic time EVER! I was slower than slow. Slow would be an understatement at how badly I ran. Even a grandma with a bad case of osteoperosis and arthritis could have done it in HALF my time!!! I was BEYOND disappointed. I won't tell you how badly I did. But you just have to take my word for it.

Mr Yeo allowed a re-test for shuttle run. And it was on a terrain with good grip and high friction. I thought perhaps I could get my 10 secs timing. But no. I didn't. It was only a teeny-weeny bit faster than my previous time. Which meant that I can't possibly blame it on the slippery floor before. It was just me. Me being slow.

On a brighter note, I watched NACHO LIBRE on Saturday.

It was super hilarious!! I think Jack Black's genius!! I thought he was awesome in School of Rock but he's over done himself in this movie. It was really funny! Not just that, it's heart-warming as well. It's endearing AND it's funny!! GO watch it people!! GO!! You won't regret it, trust me!! =) It's MUCHO FANTASTICO. And it makes me wanna speak in weird mexican accent.

Oh, I got my ice-cream this week. Not like it's big news or whatever but ice-cream is a big deal to me! Hehe! I got a taste of Ben & Jerry's 'Fossil Fuel'.

It was SO goooooooooooooood!!! It's for those who like chocolate but who isn't too big on EVERYTHING being chocolate. This is 'cos it isn't mainly chocolate ice-cream. But it has chocolate fudge swirls and cute chocolate dinosaurs inside. Not to mention huge chocolate cookie pieces inside!! It's amazing!

Oh, crud!! My cough isn't getting any better any time soon and it's REALLY bugging me. I mean, I finished TWO whole bottles of cough syrup and it's STILL not getting any better!! I totally HATE it!! I'm beginning to think that it's permanent. And I am not about to waste money going to the clinic again or even the hospital. I guess I'll just have to live with it. It's really irritating. At times, my throat would feel ompletely fine and then, all of a sudden there's this weird aching thing at the back of it and I'll just try and clear my throat a biiiit. The next thing you know, BAM!! I'm coughing my lungs out! My face all red 'cos I can't breathe properly (even after my coughing seizure). My eyes all watery. Saliva going everywhere. Mucus coagulating at the back of my throat and all. Gross, I know! And the worst part is AFTER the cough attack 'cos my throat would hurt like HELL and I would be struggling to breathe and struggling even harder not to continue coughing. Also, because of this STUPID, STUPID cough (which I'm quite sure is due to my inflammed tonsils), I can't enjoy my ice-creams. And trust me, a girl NEEDS her ice-cream! Well, at least I do. I usually eat ice-cream EVERY week, multiples times. Now, I've barely eaten any. Though I did eat this small (but EXTREMELY satisfying) tub of Haagen Dazs Belgian Chocolate last week. And this week, I had a slice ...or two... of Haagen Dazs ice-cream cake. It was the cake 3/6 bought for Ms Leow to celebrate her birthday. We had it with pizza!! Hehehe!! However, I'm determined to get myself a tub of Ben & Jerry's next week. I'm planning to try out this new flavour called 'Fossil Fuel'. But seriously, what is up with my throat?! Sheesh! It's even ruining my voice! Oh, well! I'm not gonna think about it now.

Moving on, we're done with the 2.4km run which was this Wednesday. It was by far the most memorable runs I've experienced. At least for me. I was really nervous about it. I mean, sure, I've been practising and all. And I did hit a really good time the last time I ran. But this is a whole diffirent situations. There'll be people watching and this is the REAL deal!! No slip-ups or else, I may lose my gold this year for NAPFA! And I am planning to get a gold! I was really pissed with myself for getting a silver last year and I will NOT repeat that mistake again! Keetha and I ask Mr Yeo if we could run with our mp3 players. I think that Logan played a MAJOR role in clinching me that awesome time the last time I ran. But it was a bad move to ask him. We should've just ran with it. Naturally, he said no. Though I really don't understand why 'cos it would've helped SO many people if they allowed us to run with our mp3 players. I mean, they keep going on and on about how they want us to pass and do our best and all that mumbo-jumbo. So, why hinder our performance by not letting us run with our players?? It's just not logical, is it? Bet the re-test rates would totally go down! Anyway, so I couldn't run with Logan. And Keetha and I started off late 'cos we had to keep our mp3 players back. So, we didn't get a proper start. It was just whoa! We're running the thing already. I ran okay until the fourth round. Then my STUPID cough started to act up. But I forced myself not to cough 'cos I know that if I do, I wouldn't be able to stop coughing and therefore, I wouldn't be able to run. And then I'll have to take a re-test and I'd rather DIE than do that again! I could sort of feel my tonsils inflating and making my windpipe tighter and makign it harder for me to breathe. But of course, I forced myself to keep going. But there were times when I couldn't breathe at all and I stopped!! I hated myself for it so, I end up trying to run faster for the next round. Which makes my windpipe grow a little tighter. It's a chain reaction.

By the last round, I seriously had breathing issues. I kept running, though the tracsk felt like it was moving underneath me. It was my LAST round!! I had to keep going!! I was at the last bend and it was the last stretch for me. But at that point of time, I couldn't breathe at all. AT ALL!!! I was like, "Damn it!" So, against my natural, bodily instincts, I ran. Yes, I ran as fast as I could, without breathing. The sounds around me were fuzzy and thick. My edges of my vision sort of blackened. I could see black spots. But all I was thinking was crossing the finishing line. And when I did, my vision went black.

The next thing I know, I woke up with all these people around me. Most of them were St John's brigade people. They were all fussing over me. And there were loads of other people who I think just wanted to know who's that weakling who fainted on the tracks?! I couldn't walk properly. Okay, I couldn't walk at all. So, these poor girls had to practically carry me to the giant cement steps. It was so HUMILIATING!!!! Everyone was so concerned and curious. My friends ask me if I was okay. The truth is, it really wasn't all that bad. I didn't have asthma or whatever. It was just my STUPID cough/tonsils!! I seriously made such a big doof of myself.

But I did managed to clock a time of 14mins 04secs. Which makes me the third fastest girl in my class, I think. Halim was the fastest in the whole level, 9mins exactly. And he's still not satisfied! I would kill for that time! The five items are tomorrow. Wish me luck!! =)

Oh, there's a Functions test on Monday too. I don't really know squat about functions but I went out to study yesterday and I think I'm getting the hang of it. Hopefully I won;'t screw anything up tmr. Oh, and I've been extremely broke these past few days so, I haven't been out doing anything much. I've been DYING to go shopping. But that'll habe to wait 'cos I'm planning to watch two movies VERY soon:
1) Nacho Libre (I love Jack Black!! Not too big on wrestling though)
2) The Lake House (Keanu and Sandra finally reunited!! I HAVE to watch it!!)

So, I have a big hunch that I'll be broke for a loooong time. Racial harmony day was on Friday. I didn't wear anything glamorous or extravagant this time. I know, you can't believe it right? I decided to just be plain. Dunno what came over me 'cos everyone was dressed so FAB and I was like a peasant compared to all of my friends who looked MUCHO FABULOUSO!! I wore a simple, plain cotton punhabi top with jeans. Ah, well! At least I made peasants look good! =P Joking!!! I had drama after that... Really inconvenient. Still, it was kindda okay. I skipped lunch 'cos I was broke. It was such a LONG day!!

And I'll be broke for a looooong time. Yikes!!

Walks to remember...

So far, life has been treating me pretty well. I mean, don't get me wrong. It hasn't like WHOA!! Totally perfect, out of this world, completely awesome!! In fact, there has ben afew glitches here and there. But I chose to face these problems one at a time and to try and be positive about things. Cliche, I know! But I can't help it if it works. It really does.

Haven't been doing much of anything lately. I have a feeling though that next week will be a hectic one. On monday, we have our Higher Mother Tongue Listening Comprehension O'level Exam. Sounds like it's a big deal, huh? Well, yeah, it is. Still, there is no possible way in which I can possibly prepare myself for it. Except to maybe clean out my ears in the morning (which I usually do anyway. So, nothing special about that) and maybe to listen to more Malay programmes. That last one is kindda tough for me. Especially since I got myself Cable now. I've been watching loads of cool programmes. And most... (okay, who am I kidding?) ALL of the shows that I've been watching are all in English. Or japanese. Or korean. Or Hindi. Which is still NOT Malay. Ah, well! I guess I'll just have to wing it on Monday.

Good news, Tuesday will be a holiday!! Yay!! I love holidays!! I mean, who doesn't?! I'm not quite sure what my plans will be on this unexpected Holiday. But I'm very sure I'll get something planned 'cos I am SO not wasting a perfectly good holiday sitting at home in front of the TV, stuffing my face with junk by. I'll most definitely be going out somewhere. I have this weird urge to go to the Beach lately. In fact, I've been having tons of weird urges lately. Like cravings and stuff. Is that normal?? Something will just pop into my head and I'll be like "Hmm... I feel like eating _(insert food here)_" or "I dunno why but I wanna go and _(insert event here)_" and sometimes, "I really wanna go play _(insert sport here)_". Kindda freaky, huh?? And I haven't gone shopping for DECADES!! Partly because I'm totally and utterly broke. And partly because (brace yourselves people) I don't want to. I KNOW!!! I KNOW!! This is seriously BEYOND the definition of weird. Shopping is like a way of life to me. I live and breathe shopping!! But that was before. Now, I'm beginning to think that I'd rather watch a movie, take a walk, eat something, play a sport or even run than shop. This is majorly weird. It's okay, maybe it's just a phase due to lack of money.

Right now, all I want is...

Yup, that's it. That's all I've been craving. I mean, after eating that Haagen Dazs Belgian Chocolate which was SO thick and creamy that other day. I just wannna kick it to another level with this one. Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie! Also known to me as Heaven in a tub. If all goes well, and my cough get better, I may persuade someone to share a tub with me. Maybe after our 2.4km run on Wednesday. It'll be great to gorge on ice-cream after almost dying on the tracks. Like a small reward. But I'll only reward myself if I get a good time. Yes, this'll motivate me! Ice-cream has this weird effect on me. It just makes me the happiest girl on Earth. But of course, that's not the ONLY thing that makes me happy. There are many things... people who make me feel happy! It's just that I happen to be really craving ice-cream these days. So, decision done! I'll be having a tub of heaven next week!! =)

Today's a special day. Today's my mom and dad's 17th wedding anniversary!! Happy anniversary mom and dad (though I seriously doubt that they visit my blog)! Still, I'll just wish them here as well as verbally later. But there's another reason why today's a special occasion.

I've been doing tons of stuff this week. Which included watching...

PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN 2: DEAD MAN'S CHEST

This movie ROCKS!! Like seriously. I watched it with Gaya, Keetha, Diyanah, Fauzi and Halim. Gaya and Diyanah had been waiting for AGES for that movie to open. 'Cos apparently, Diyanah is in love with Johnny Depp and Gaya's in love with Orlando Bloom. And it just so happens that BOTH of them are starring in this movie so, there is plenty of eye-candy for the both of them. Personally I like Johnny Depp WAY more than Orlando. I mean, at least he's talented, y'know what I mean. I really respect him as an actor. So anyway, I really don't think I should spoil it for everyone and publish the whole plot on my blog (Plus, I'm way too lazy to do that). I'll just briefly explain the plot. Okay, turns out, William Turner and Elizabeth Swann didn't get their fairytale ending. They got arrested for helping (Captain) Jack Sparrow escape in the last movie. And the only way Will can save his poor darling Elizabeth is for him to get Captain Jack's compass. I can't tell you why the General Dude wanted it or why the compass is so special. 'Cos that'll just spoil the fun. Basically after that, Will went to look for Captain Jack and finally found him and his crew trapped in an island of cannibals. It's SO funny!! Later on, the plot moves on to Davy Jones. An evil pirate of the sea who conrols this gigantic sea monster. Not surprisingly, Captain Jack owed a debt to this dude. And the only way to settle his debt is to find 100 souls for sacrifice. Either that or to track down the Dead man's chest in which only Davy Jones had the key. Inside that chest is... AHHA!! Did you actually think I would TELL you??!! Nope, you have to watch it to find out. Oh, and there's this really sweet twist at the end. I was like SO shocked!! But I felt kindda robbed 'cos the ending was SO abrupt. I mean, for that second, I was so shocked by the twist in the story and then BAM!! The next thing I know the credits were rolling. So, I have to wait till the next movie (which means next YEAR!!) before I find out the ending. Sheesh!

Oh, another piece of info. Don't wait out for that 'short clip' at the end of the credits. That was what the newspapers said. That there's this short clip at the end of the credits. It's a trick! You'll have to sit through fifteen minutes of credits and the clip was barely 30 seconds. It's just about the dog being worshipped by the cannibals. It was SO lame! Don't even bother! Trust me!

So, I've been hanging out loads this week. I got my Haagen Dazs on Friday!! YAY!!! Movie on Thurday! And I've been doing lots of walking lately. I'm beginning to really love walking. It's really nice and slow and you get to let your mind relax and not think of anything. I love it! I like just sitting at a really comfy place and just clear my head. And it's even nicer when I have company. =) Oh, and I've been doing some running too. Yesterday was majorly random. After getting my Haagen Dazs and feeling completely and utterly happy. I realized that I'll be home SUPER early (due to the cancellation of our ATC meeting. Don't even ask me why 'cos I had NO idea). The girls were doing their Bio projects and the guys were playing soccer. I wasn't too hot about both. So, I was thinking of walking around the neighbourhood. Yes, by myself! I know it's kindda pathetic-sounding but it's really relaxing. Somehow, I didn't feel like wasting my time like that that day. I caught sight of the Yishun Stadium on the MRT and the weirdest thought popped into my head. PE was cancelled that day so, I had my PE shirt in my bag. And there was this voice in my head which said, "Why don't you give 2.4 a try??! You have nothing better to do!" And before I could say no to myself. I ran out of the train and the next thing I know, I was walking towards the Yishun Stadium. Yes, I know, I know!! I sound psychotic!! I can't believe that I actually trained 2.4km by myself and on RANDOM thought!! And seriously, what kind of a random thought is that?! But I really needed the run. I really felt like running. Like running all my troubles away. I changed into my PE attire and ran. I had my Logan to keep me company. I ran all the way. Pushing myself. Further and further. It almost hurt! But I loved it! I never thought I would say it but I really enjoyed the run. Maybe Logan helped alot. I was dancing while running some of the rounds. Some of the guys on the spectators stairs were laughing at me. I guess it's kindda funny. I was singing and dancing through some rounds but I was dying by the last. Still, I managed a pretty good time!! I was SO proud of myself!! I never thought it was possible for me!! I just wish that I could equal that time on the day itself. Which happens to be next wednesday. The thing is that I can't bring Logan along on that day. Still, maybe I can try and anjoy my run the way I did yesterday.

After my run, Halim , Taufiq and Suffian joined me at the stadium. They came over after their soccer game. They sprinted and ran some rounds but mostly they did pull-ups while I watched. I didn't even bother trying with my weight. I would probably rip all the muscles on my arm. Today was another random day of doing absolutely nothing outside.

I love these random days.

Okay, I'm really sorry! I haven't been blogging much since ...forever and I know that I've disappointed all you avid bloggers. You see, I've been having these really bad fights with my parents lately and because of them fights, I was grounded from the computer for like AGES!!! Which is a bummer. Then the bigger bummer came...

GERMANY LOST!!! NOOO!!! The World Cup, I mean. I dunno if y'all know but I have been a Germany supporter since I knew the World Cup existed. I never really liked Brazil (except for Kaka!!) and England (Though I am absolutely in LOVE with Gerrard!! Hotness!!). But I was very sad when England lost like that. Beckham deserved better, I think. This is really something coming from a not-a-big-fan-of-Beckham girl like me. I saw his press conference when he retired from his Captain-ship. He was in tears. It was really sad. I couldn't help but feel bad for him. But OH, MY GOD!! I never expected Germany to lose. NEVER!! It was Germany ALL THE WAY!! But then... Italy... And things happened. I don't wanna say anything 'cos you can probably guess how I feel towards Italy. When I saw Ballack's crest-fallen face and tearing eye, my heart just broke. It was like the world had ended or something. But it's okay. The German flag shall fly high and proud. (It's France vs Italy. CRUSH Italy!! Go France!!)

I've been buying alot of badges lately. I have no idea why I suddenly became kindda obsessed about it. I remember Dinah MZ would buy tons and tons of badges and I couldn't really appreciate the Beauty of these badges. Yes, these badges aren't just badges. These are Works of Art!! Okay, maybe I'm placing too much hype about this but I have NO idea where this sudden obsession came from. Maybe it's 'cos I found this 'I *heart* S. H.' badge at Power 9. I was like, "Hahaha! Look! It's an I Love Sharifah Hanan badge! Who would've thought that the world loved me THAT much!". Okay, I'm joking about that last bit. But I did found a badge like that at Power 9 though I have NO idea what S.H. stands for... Besides my initials of course! Hehe!

The Malay O'Level orals are over and done with. I was dreading that day the WHOLE year! My Malay isn't exactly what you call very good. And so the verdict... It went GREAT!! Okay, not exactly like AMAZING, definite full marks kindda thing. But it definitely went better than I thought it was gonna be. I hate to admit this but it's mostly thanks to Cikgu Asnah and her 'tough-love' towards me. Make that 'more-tough-than-love'. But still, it worked!! I managed to speak without stuttering. Hardly an "erm" or an "ah"! I'm SO proud of myself. I hope I pass! =)

I've been having a really awful cough these past few weeks. It's all because of my tonsils. And I something else. But my memory's not that great. I sort of forgot what the Doc said. ANYWAY, now I can't eat my ice-cream. And I've been realy missing my ice-creams. Ice-cream is not just ice-cream to me. It's my personal anti-depressant! I practically can't live without it. It makes me happy even when I'm feeling like I'm gonna die the next day or something. It's really amazing. But I haven't been having my weekly dosage of ice-cream so, I feel SO empty inside. However, there has been something or someone who has been keeping me happy. So, no nervous-breakdowns and stuff! Plus, Gaya, Keetha and I have been going out to do MAJOR girl hang out time. Tomorrow, I'm going to Keetha's place to watch Zoolander! I've been DYING to watch that show! And today, I went to run with them. 2.4km is coming up and I'm planning to pass!!

So, things are working out okay for me. I hope they are working out well for everyone else too (Except Italy)! Cliche, I know. But I mean it.
